While RateMyServer and AnimeSeed are still growing nicely, I would like to expand the RMS collection of websites into the social network category.  Here I am inviting all RMS members to join MyAniGamer.Com.  This is a site built similar to any social network site except that I am aiming it for online life rather than real life networking.

As I have seen many players aren't that willing to share their MySpace or FaceBook with other players they met in-game due to personal information involved in them.  I feel that it is time to have a social network community just for online stuff.  Starting now, MyAniGamer.Com will be your online profile where you can use it to keep in touch with your online friends and guildmates.  Even if your friends no longer play on the same server or game with you, you will not lost contact with them.  So feel free to invite your friends from other games to join the site, it is not only limited to Ragnarok Online.

Obviously, there will be nothing to prevent you from making it both your online and offline profile.  I just feel it will be more comfortable for people that wish to keep in touch with their friends online while keeping their lives private.

Of course you don't have to be a fan of social network sites to start a profile on MyAniGamer.Com.  There are many reasons to become a member of this new community.  On MyAniGamer.Com you can:

- Create your online profile and share it with your friends
- Add friends you meet online or offline and keep in touch with them
- Challenge friends and members at the Arcade
- Upload images such as screenshots and whatnot
- Upload music and embed video links to your profile
- Blog about your daily gaming life
- Let your friends know where you hangout online

Notice the name of the website is My Ani Gamer Dot Com, it is designed for both Anime and Game Addicts.  Seeing gaming and watching videos are the most addictive activities online, these two categories should cover a majority of people.  Well, if you are still not convinced, I could use some help from various RO servers out there that are interested in promoting my new idea.

Let's try this:  Starting from today until August 11st (exactly one month from now), any RO server can create a group on MyAniGamer.Com under Games > Online: Role-Playing Game.  At the end of the period, which server group has the most member will get a 30 days premium banner on RMS ($120 in value).  To prevent invalid registration, only members with at least one friend will be counted.  Also, please do not spam invite to group otherwise you will be disqualified.  You might think the end result will be like voting where the server with the most players win.  Well, let me remind you that this is not limited to RO.  Anyone can invite their friends, online friends, guildmates and friends from other games to join.  In the end, I would say who has the most friendly community is going to win.

Thank you for anyone that is going to join after reading my news up to here <3.  I will share with you a little secret.  If you look at the user profile of RMS, you might be able to guess that RMS was first built/designed with the tool to act as a social network site.  At the time there were only Friendster (which means I got great chance to rock the world? lol).  However, due to my laziness that idea never got implemented -.-".  So after many years I am giving it a second chance elsewhere.  Hope you like it.

Lore

You'll make it big yet, yc. This is a sweet idea. Im glad you targeted this specialized area of online profiling. The whole gamer profile as a separate entity from your life profile is superb.

If you really want it to be big. I would advise you to make another that is separate from the anime scene, as that is a turn off for many, many gamers. Should you make a gamer site that is purely for gaming, people from all aspects of the gaming world would flock to you. Not just, ragnarok players.

Sorry. Got ahead of myself >.>

Anyhow. good job /no1

Nice job. I'm not a huge fan of social network but I gave it a go ^_^;

Suggestion: Be more selective on the arcade games, some are pretty crappy. Also, check how the score is done, sometimes a lower score is better, but the site retains people with the biggest score as winners. Example: person who typed the alphabet the slowest is currently the winner XD
heRO is a great friendly, pre-renweal, unique and fun server with a great community, give it a try!

Aww Lore so i went the wrong direction? hehe I will see what happen next, I first was thinking just general stuff not gamer only.

Thanks Pandora.  The arcade games came as a package with 300~500 games, I deleted some that are obviously wrong and added a few that I like heh, but can't take care of all of them.  I know that alphabet game is wrong maybe I should remove it ...

Seems great......I think i'll give it a try.

I agree with Lore, It's great to have a social networking specifically for gamers.

This could potentially draw more gamers into trying out RO.
