Battle priest, anyone?

Noone here discussed about a battle priest, is it so bad that noone dares to use it?

I'm tired of monks, so i'm making a battle priest for fun. Getting to job 40 is annoying enough, but will this be enough for a battle priest?

HEYA.... I am making a Battle High Priest (I have reset stat/skill on my server). I have tried TU Priest, ME Priest and FS Priest...so I thought - what the heck, I will give Battle High Priest a try. This is my inspiration

I can safety say that there is no Battle High Priest on the server I play. I am just collecting some gears/cards atm and will go level at Nameless Island once I complete the quest.

From my initial research, there are basically two builts... STR and CRIT.

job40 for a battle aco? hmm... I wouldnt risk it. Job50 is recommended. This is my Battle High Priest skills.

Its no finalized yet.. coz I am not job70. Its a STR built. If u wanna go CRIT..just have Gloria and remove Signum Crusis and get some LUK.

STATS (including buffs, job and gear bonus) will look something like this

120 STR
90+AGI
50 DEX
30 VIT
36 INT
10 LUK

My main target is Banshee. Flee needs to be > 231. Hit> 175 ASPD target > 173
For ragged zombie and zombie slaughter. I plan to use Turn Undead.

Its worth pointing out that on my server, we have a custom headgear known as Lord Kaho's Horn which gives +20INT +20STR +20DEX +20MDEF.

U could use a Spike, it can be slot enchanted too. But u have reduced DEF, not very suitable for hard dungeons.

U could use some crit cards in maces instead. Combine with some LUK and Gloria - should give u enough CRIT.

If u think u have too much AGI, then u could always reduce it. But if u have high CRIT, then u could reduce DEX, coz crit dont miss.

I'd use assulter (+7 crit and +10% crit dmg on demihuman) to get both soem crit and some damage.

4. Eventhough GC is based on ATK and MATK. Battle Priest dont have much INT, thus MATK is on the low side. U do have ATK, but I dont think it will really do a lot of damage.

1- 20% of CURRENT HP, meaning it hurts less when you're already hurt.
2- There's no cast time with auto-casts.
3- Preventable by Holy armor (Angeling or BSS(BSS is the most annoying skill ever, though))
4- The damage calculation of GC favors neither stat. Monsters tend to favor Def over MDef, however, making Int the better stat. It also helps that Int gives soft MDef, reducing the backlash if you have no Holy armor (though without the Faith skill the backlash hurts like Hell anyway).

If you have Holy armor the card becomes very attractive. If you are also in a party, go wild with it.



P.S. Make a Crusader with maxed Str and Int. Your GC should kill an Abyss Knight with just two hits, instead of 3-4 casts (Int ver. / Str. ver.) which makes for some good 'lolz'. With good armor and cards you should have the survivability of at least TWO Porings!

I think because of that they also helps that Int gives soft MDef, reducing the backlash if you have no Holy armor,.

I made this to test crit bp damage for fun sometime ago



using far more reasonable equip than the battle HP with the insane aspd (except for the undershirt I accidentally overupgraded with the weapon). Obviously there's much better equipment depending on your server. What I do like about BP is the huge amount of crit they can get with mediocre luck and equip (the weapon cards aren't factored in, so it's actually 104 crit).

Ohh. Battle Popes, what fun! I use to cause so much mayhem with one in some mid-rate long ago~

I loved the concept the moment I saw some bro use it to kill an Assassin Cross and I thrived to make the build know a bit of fame.  I don't have any builds to give but I like the Crit idea, why not add a Vanberk card if you can grab one?  It's pretty decent when it kicks in and the +2 Strength is never bad.  There's also the Enchanted Peach Tree card that'll dish out Lv.x Heals on you and with Medidatio it gets pretty decent, doesn't it?

I adore the Stunner weapon and I heard that the socket enchanted one actually has a 10% chance on stunning the opponent which could really help against low-VIT claasses. Of course you can switch over to the Spike weapon to really dish out the Criticals!  And I think it'd really help if someone's using your DEF and VIT DEF against you.

Say, wouldn't Autocasting cards help a ton?  Stuff like Bongun and the sort.

BPs have pretty much no usable skills for damage, so I also suggest things like Bongun, Injustice, and if you are lucky as heck, Lord Knight Card, you can also test your build in the test server to see which one fits you best
